        Akiro is one of the main protagonists of the series and accompanies his brother Ichiro throughout the quest. Akiro is someone who handles crises with a cool head and more than often doesn’t bother himself with acts of speech. He shows no mercy whatsoever, be his opponent crippled or injured to the point of death.

        He gets what he wants, even if that means using force against the defenseless. He doesn’t fool around, nor does he lack the skill to match up to his personality.

        Having chosen the blue spirit fruit, he has obtained the power to manipulate ice. This power also allows him to cool any substance within a specified radius of 579 meters up to a temperature of minus forty Celsius within a matter of seconds. To use this power, he needs a base reserve of around 500ml ice or water, though with water he needs thirty seconds to turn it into ice before being able to use his abilities to their fullest extent. Most of the extra ice required is created with the atmospheric H2O using the base reserves as a template.

        He wields dual swords called Jnorké, which are named after his spirit abilities (Jnorké literally means ‘Frost Strikers’). Made with the legendary Alecreto Silver and permanently enforced with Akiro’s ice, they are one of the strongest swords in the world of TSOD. The ice enforcing his swords also acts as the base reserve mentioned above. Jnorké are capable of instantly freezing everything they touch, thus increasing the target’s fragility exponentially fractions of seconds before the blow lands and shattering it into bits.
